Metal Button Manufacturing Material and Quality

First of all, metal buttons can be roughly divided into three categories according to the manufacturing materials: buttons made of copper, buttons made of iron and buttons made of zinc alloy; of course, they are also made of aluminum or stainless copper. , but this type of material cannot be electroplated, and the aluminum material is too soft and the stainless steel material is too hard, so it is rarely used, so I will not mention it here.

Secondly, according to the manufacturing method, it can be divided into die-casting (zinc alloy buttons) and stamping (copper and iron buttons).

1. Let’s talk about copper Chinese buttons first. As the name implies, they are made of copper materials. The copper materials are divided into brass sheets, white copper sheets, and red copper sheets. Copper materials include 68 copper, 65 copper and 62 copper. Obviously, 68 copper is the best and the most expensive, followed by 65 copper, and finally 62 copper; subdivided 62 copper can also be divided into: high-precision 62 Copper and general 62 copper material.

In actual production, 62 copper is used the most; under normal circumstances, buttons made of ordinary 62 copper cannot meet the requirements of environmental protection, nor can they pass the needle detector above level 6, while the high-precision 62 copper The material can meet the standard. However, under normal circumstances, customers have asked for environmentally friendly button products. We will use 65 copper materials to produce them, which is more guaranteed; I will not go into details about why 62 copper and 65 copper are called here, otherwise it will be a long discussion. .

Because copper material has good toughness and rigidity ratio, it is relatively stable during stamping and can meet the requirements of button shaping; it has the characteristics of not easy to rust, etc. It is more suitable for making buttons, and it is also a metal button. Preferred material.

2. Buttons pressed by iron materials, the biggest feature of iron materials is that they are cheap. Generally, buttons produced with iron materials are for the pursuit of cost performance, high quality and low price! Compared with copper materials, iron materials have stronger rigidity, so in the production process, the stability is not very good, and cracks are prone to occur in stamping; at the same time, iron materials are more prone to rust, and after surface treatment processes such as electroplating, , can be used for a long time. Because of this, this is a good choice for some clothing that does not require very high quality and has a limited cost budget.

3. Zinc alloy button: This button is made of zinc alloy material by die-casting machine. At the same time, because it is an alloy material, the weight of a single product is relatively heavier than that of copper and iron. Because of this characteristic, many garments use alloy buttons.
